Signol Labs was founded by Ian Davidson and Rebecca Davidson, combining deep expertise across workforce technology, hiring marketplaces, skills intelligence, ecosystem strategy, event engagement, and market storytelling.

Ian is a strategist and ecosystem builder whose work sits at the intersection of workforce technology, hiring marketplaces, skills intelligence, digital credentials, and emerging workforce infrastructure.

Ian previously served as Vice President of Business Development for ZipRecruiter, where he developed deep expertise in hiring marketplaces, recruiting ecosystems, and HR technology stacks. He later served as Chief Growth Officer for SmartResume, where he led strategy for the market’s first Learning and Employment Record (LER) resume builder and one of the leading LER-enabled talent marketplace platforms.

Over the years, Ian became known for helping organizations make sense of complex ecosystem shifts and translating emerging workforce systems into strategies and narratives people can actually understand. His work has included advising startups, workforce technology providers, nonprofits, credentialing organizations, ecosystem initiatives, and education institutions navigating the future of work.

Signol Labs was created to bring together ecosystem intelligence, strategic advisory, market storytelling, and industry engagement into one company focused on helping organizations navigate workforce transformation.

Today, Signol Labs is co-led by Rebecca Davidson, Co-Founder and Director of Operations.

Rebecca brings deep expertise in audience engagement, event strategy, brand positioning, and executive visibility. She previously led events for the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), operated her own consulting company supporting technology companies and associations, and later managed a global event strategy and budget exceeding $5 million for OpenX. In that role, she helped strengthen engagement across both the supply-side and demand-side of the digital advertising ecosystem while overseeing the company’s global event presence and identifying speaking opportunities for company leadership.

At Signol Labs, Rebecca leads operations, event and conference engagement, speaker placement, and market visibility initiatives. Her experience building meaningful industry engagement strategies complements Ian’s ecosystem and strategic advisory work, helping organizations not only develop ideas worth sharing — but ensure the right audiences hear them.

Together, we combine systems thinking, market insight, and human-centered storytelling to help organizations understand where the workforce ecosystem is heading — and how to position themselves within it.
